Founders Junior Council
Founders Junior Council is a group of young professionals dedicated to making the DIA more accessible to more people. As one of the museum's largest auxiliaries, Founders Junior Council encourages involvement with and support of the museum through a variety of programs and activities that merge art and fun. These include behind-the-scenes tours, a masked ball, and parties such as ArtSeen and the annual Fash Bash - always one of the year's swankiest events.
These exciting soirees, generally held at the most prominent metro-Detroit venues, not only increase museum patronage, they also serve as an important source of revenue for the DIA at large. The proceeds help support the exhibitions, educational programs and magnificent collections, to which museum-goers have all come to know and love.
The FJC also sponsors events designed to educate potential collectors and enhance individual appreciation of art. These include: exclusive tours of artists' studios, private viewings of special exhibitions and selections from the DIA's extensive collection.
Becoming a member of the FJC is the perfect way to expand your cultural horizons and enhance your social calendar. And the perfect way to show your support for one of North America's leading art museums: The DIA.
To become a member of the Founders Junior Council, you must have a valid DIA membership.
